While at school that can mean for our students raising their hand and waiting to be called on to speak. It can mean waiting patiently to line up for recess even when they want to get outside to play. When speaking to peers, self control looks like thinking about the words used to be sure they are kind. Thank you for helping our students experience and practice the virtue of self-control.
Principal's MessageWe are feeling the rising energy of spring. We see it at recess, in the excitement in classrooms, and at the rush to enter school each morning. Teachers are crafting lessons and activities that build on the learning of the past two trimesters. The Titan Run is up and going with increasing enthusiasm and momentum. The weather helps with the energy as well. There are some dates to look forward to in the calendar below. Let me highlight couple:

PTO - meeting & volunteer hours logPlease join us this Wednesday evening at 7pm in the 4th grade classroom for our monthly PTO meeting. The class with the highest parent attendance wins free dress this Friday! The agenda this month will focus on Teacher Appreciation Week, Spring Conference Teacher Support, Middle School Dance, Bike Rodeo, and the Titan Run.
We are coming up on the end of the year, which means that volunteer hours need to be logged. This year, we're using a google form to log hours. You can click here to access the form. For a refresher on Sharepoints and how to log, please see the attached document. Any hours not earned during the year will be billed to your upcoming FACTS account. If you plan to volunteer at any events coming up, you may log those planned hours in advance with a note indicating that they will be future hours logged. If you have any questions, please reach out to me lnhunt2014@gmail.com or ptopresident@htsch.org. We are so grateful for your service to the school; our volunteers are what enable the wonderful memories we create for our kids! Volunteer Training - CASEThere is a CASE training Thursday, 4/25 at 3:30pm in Mr. Storm's classroom. Register HERE if you still need to take this one-time required training.
Please remember you need to be completely up-to-date with the volunteer requirements before you come to the school to volunteer. We appreciate you taking the time to complete these sessions. Please let me know if you have any questions! Earth Day - Go Green Challenge!April 22, 2024 - Every person can take small steps at home to care for the planet we share. One way to celebrate is to complete the Earth-Day challenge. Students and staff who complete the challenge can wear GREEN on Earth Day, April 22nd. Students received copies of the checklist. We encourage families to join us in the challenge. Go Green Challenge Form
