Success in academic endeavors relies on strong partnerships with our families. They entrust into our care their most precious gift from God, their children. Our paramount priority is to create and nurture the vital relationship with our families. One way we do this is to offer regular, clear, communication with our families about the academic progress of their students. This communication is bounded by the assessment and grading practices we follow. As a school community we know that students evolve as learners over the course of their time at school. Below is a general guide to development of students as learners:
Grades PK-1 are learning how to do school
Grades 2-3 are learning to be students
Grades 4-5 are working on increasing their ability to do more academic tasks
Grades 6-8 are developing deeper understanding and preparing for high school
